The traditional firework this evening announced the end of the 672nd Schueberfouer. The very last pictures from the last day are in our « Picture gallery ». In a few days the Glacis will be transformed again into a huge parking yard and nothing will witness 20 days of funfair. Most of the showmen will now travel to Munich, Eisleben, Epinal, Thionville or Liège.

The edition 2012 was an excellent vintage both for its organization and for the showmen. With over 2 million visitors the Schueberfouer is still very attractive and is THE funfair in the Greater Region. Ideal sunny weather, mild temperatures and only a few hours of rain (mainly tonight) over the 20 days made that the people went to the Schueberfouer. The new security measures have also been appreciated so no major incidents are to be reported. And the visitors really used the free transport accomodations offered by the City of Luxembourg and its partners to come to the fairground without being stressed.

So a lot of people came and in the evening you had to queue to take a ride or to get something to eat and drink. The novelties MAXXIMUM 2, FLIP FLY and CINEMA 5D were very appreciated by the public but also were the comebackers CHAOS, POWER TOWER 2 and the traditionnal ghost train. But also the classic rides BREAK DANCE, BELLEVUE, TOP SPIN, SHAKER'S, or TAGADA knew great success again, not to mention the restaurants and other booths. Beneath the new attractions, the new placement of these also contributed to enforece the positive image of the Schueberfouer.

And what will there be in 2013? As every year, a lot of surprises, one of these being two new coasters, one of them being for the first time at the Schueberfouer. More detail about the Schueberfouer 2013 will be on this site over the next months.

As for now, we just want to thank all the visitors of fouer.lu, all the visitors of the Schueberfouer, the organizers, all of the services and administrations being involved in the Schueberfouer and the showmen. We'll see us again in 2013. The 673rd Schueberfouer will open in 345 days, that's on august, 23rd, 2013...
