The sensation at the Schueberfouer !

The crazy childhood of the cinema, even more crazy! Further to the immense success of the last years, the fairground cinema " Crazy Cinématographe " is going to settle down again at the Schueberfouer this year and will present a program more delirious than ever: a stunning parade of fairphenomena, burlesque artists and bizarre animals populating the crazy universe of the first cinemas. And, later in the evenings, discover the erotic fantasies of grandma and grandpa (olala), crunchy movies  that you will not forget as soon. Bizarre, stunning, exhilarating!! Animation and accompaniment at the piano guaranteed.

Program about 20 minutes presented in alternation. Daily sessions during all the duration of the Schueberfouer (from August 19th till September 7th), always at the hour: from Monday to Friday from 7 pm till 12 pm, Saturday from 3 pm till 1 am, Sunday from 3 pm till 11 pm, Wednesday August 25th + Wednesday September 7th from 3 pm till 12 pm. At the fairground tent of Crazy Cinématographe, at the lower Glacisfield.

Daily shows Crazy Cartoon Circus An absurd journey to the crazy childhood of cartoons, even before the famous Mickey Mouse had been born! Curious and crazy pictures which did not take a wrinkle: from Gertie the dinosaur, the very first cartoon of 1914  to the famous Felix the Cat who, to seduce his beautiful, fetches a pearl necklace at the bottom of the oceans … Crazy Science Fiction One of the first science-fiction films, inspired by Jules Verne! Facing the immense success of the movie Le Voyage dans la lune which he realized two years earlier, Georges Méliès gives himself in 1904 the means to turn a spectacular movie: Le Voyage à travers l'impossible. It is then the longest ever produced movie (20 minutes), and certainly also the most crazy: a fantastic expedition to the sun. Copy magnificently restored by the Cinémathéque française. Crazy Comedy A program of the craziest comic movies of fairground cinema, showing John Higgins, eccentric king of jumpers, a funny baby's incubator which warms too much, as well as a hallucinating magic lotion which, applied to a bald skull, grows a pair of bosoms there!

Crazy Erotique 1900

When our grandmothers were pulpy and our grandfathers real hot rabbits: saucy pictures of the Belle Epoque strictly reserved to the adults. The old tradition of the "Herrenabende" rises again (without being reserved for the sirs), alternating hot scenes, striptease and steamy other movies. This year, the spectators can visit a harem in full madness, follow the loving events of charming "Sister Vaseline" and admire the vey first cinematographic french kiss (which, moreover, was American)!

Après l'affrontement entre Georges Christen et la mouche la plus forte du monde en 2009 et de David Goldrake et Houdini en 2010, les gladiateurs du « Crazy Duel 2011 » sont des incroyables hommes-caoutchouc se pliant comme des mouchoirs ! Moussa Huit Huit, maître de la contorsion capable de passer à travers une raquette de tennis et vedette du spectacle Afrika! Afrika!, va défier « L'Homme mystérieux », le plus grand contorsionniste de tous les temps, ressuscité en chair et en os sur grand écran grâce à une rarissime pellicule datant de 1911.

Le Retour du Dr Doyen [feat. La Fanfare du Commando Fête]

Après son entrée fracassante et sanguinolente à la Schueberfouer en 2009, le désormais fameux chirurgien Dr Doyen, véritable « Paganini du scalpel », est de retour avec d'autres pellicules! Avec sa maestria habituelle, il plonge ses instruments cette fois-ci dans des cavités crâniennes, boosté par l'accompagnement musical de la délirante Fanfare du Commando Fête. Fragiles d'esprit s'abstenir !

Un voyage unique et nostalgique dans le temps : des rares et étincelantes pellicules montrant le Luxembourg de la Belle Époque ! Ces premiers films documentaires luxembourgeois seront bonimentés par notre vedette nationale cathodique, Max Kuborn. Laissez-vous embarquer dans un train-fantôme à travers le Luxembourg pittoresque de 1912, découvrez la procession dansante d'Echternach de 1906 et le tout premier film luxembourgeois en couleurs.
